Private Interest Foundations, as well as Corporations, are legal entities that are organized with the main interest of protecting an economic activity. A Private Interest Foundation is also known as Foundation.

They are created with the purpose of protecting assets, personal assets, bank accounts, real estate and others.

The main uses of a Private Foundation are the protection of the partial or complete heritage, the name of the founder of the Foundation is protected, acts as a testament without passing through a succession trial, may be owners of goods and real estate located outside the Republic of Panama without paying taxes within Panama for said goods.
